Summary

This paper presents shallow semantic parsing based on only HPSG parses. We constructed an HPSG-FrameNet map from a semantically annotated corpus, and performed semantic parsing by mapping HPSG dependencies to FrameNet relations. The semantic parsing was evaluated in a Senseval-3 task, and the promising result suggested high contribution of syntactic information to semantic analysis.
